Silene dioica

Red Campion is also known as Adder’s Flower or Robin Hood. A perennial of lightly shady places, wood edges and hedgerows, it looks great in combination with Bluebells, Stitchwort and Ransoms. Generally rose-pink flowers but variable and will hybridise with White Campion to give shades of pale pink. Grows to 80cm in moderately fertile soil and sun or dappled shade.
