Geranium pratense
Meadow Cranesbill is a beautiful native perennial found quite commonly in verges and hedgerows. Prefers sun but will still flower in dappled shade. It grows to about 60cm tall and has dissect leaves that die down in the autumn. Wonderful, blue discs of flowers, 3-4cm in diameter, start flowering at the end of May on and off, until the end of July. Great for bees and other insects.
