Description

Teucrium scorodonia

Wood Sage is a useful perennial wildflower for semi-shady areas and woodland margins. It has sage-like soft leaves and small creamy white tubular flowers July to early autumn. Depending on where it’s growing, it can be quite low or up to 45cm tall. The leaves are not at all aromatic, but are evergreen like culinary sage. Sometimes called Woodland Germander.

Sow in autumn for spring sprouting or prechill in moist sand in spring for a few weeks before sowing.
